Some players on DeMatha Catholic High School's powerhouse football team? aren't letting not being starters slow them down. The Washington Post reports that five players who aren't on the team's starting lineup have been disciplined after allegedly sneaking prostitutes into their room after a game in North Carolina last Friday.
According to the Post, the students waited until chaperones stopped checking rooms to smuggle in three prostitutes they found through a website. Two of the students have already left the school.
All of the players are minors, according to the Post, so there could be statutory rape issues involved. That makes it even harder to buy DeMatha principal Dan McMahon's rosy take on the story:
?I can?t comment on anything except to say when people are on field trips they are exceptionally chaperoned,? McMahon said. ?On this trip there was full coverage by supervisors and we are extremely pleased with the way we monitor kids and keep everybody safe.?
Really?
